Moevasa Taboru, Project Manager

Moe received her BA majoring in Graphic Design and National Certificate in Business Administration Level 3 before becoming a Personal Banker for ANZ NZ Limited.During her career, Moe has assisted Pacific Migrants to organise their accounts and settle financially in New Zealand. She believes financial goals should start at a young age and takes extra time to educate youth in looking after their banking

Uana Taboru, Finance Manager

Uana hails from Arorae. She was born in the Solomon Islands but mostly spent her lifetime in Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (double majored in Accounting and Commercial Law) from the University of Auckland. She is an aspiring Chartered Accountant with a special interest in charitable or not-for-profit organisations. Uana supports innovative solutions to today’s issues. Especially with the community of Kiribati and the wider Pacific. One of her favourite quotes is “If you want different results, do not do the same things.” – Albert Einstein.

Itinterunga Rae Bainteiti, Social Service Manager

Rae is of Banaban and Kiribati origins who was raised and educated in Fiji throughout his childhood years and has lived both in Fiji and Kiribati. He continued pursuing his Social Work degree at Massey University, Auckland in 2016-2020. His early career with the Kiribati Local Government Association in 2012 exposed him to his love and passion for community developmental and justice work. In 2018 he supported the IOM Labour Migration project. Rae has dedicated many years of voluntary developmental work with the Kiribati Climate Action Network and had pioneered several youth programmes in Kiribati on Climate Change and Youth development – advocating for youths at national, regional and International level. He also served as the Interim Chairman of the Kiribati Aotearoa Diaspora Directorate in 2018, Board member of the Pacific Climate Action Network 2019-20, Pacific Youth Council Technical Advisor, Commonwealth Youth Council International Taskforce member, Global Migration Ad Hoc youth member, and youth representative on the technical working group on human mobility and displacement. Rae was a recipient of the 2018 Queens Point of Light Award.

Aronna Tawaia, Community Engagement Manager

“Everyone has a hidden talent you just have to find it and express it”With over 4 years’ experience in the Kiribati hotel industry, Aronna has hosted international visitors to participate in sustainability projects around the capital. As a result, she has a large range of networks in Kiribati and overseas due to her reputable customer service. Now a NZ Resident from the Pacific Access Category, Aronna is currently working in the tourism sector and uses her experience to help Pacific migrants looking to settle in New Zealand. In her spare time, Aronna likes to sing and compose songs with her church youth group and is currently studying National Certificate in Early Childhood Education Level 3

Murioro Takoa, Director

In the last 18 years, Mr Takoa has worked in the Pacific communities supporting community livelihood, natural disaster recovery work and pastoral care. Connected with Japanese Aid to distribute food and clothing among those affected by the 2007 tsunami when it hit Gizo, Solomon islands. He also helped facilitated disaster awareness programs to community camps post tsunami. Mr Takoa obtained his certificate in pastoral leadership in theology, pre-ministerial studies and christian knowledge (ministry). His hobbies include tennis and leading church choir.

Kian Eremee, Director

Mr Eremee was born in Kiribati and moved to New Zealand at a young age. He obtained a certificate in heavy fabrication at Manukau Institute of Technology before entering the engineering industry. He is currently working towards his Diploma. Kian is a respected young leader and has been appointed on various leadership roles in the church and the communities. During his spare time, he loves playing his keyboard and composing new songs.
